Steve Plank is a business leader and technology executive with 25 years of proven success building and delivering technology transformation roadmaps to fuel top-line and bottom-line results.   He has worked at the intersection of disruptive technology trends across multiple industries and geographies.   Mr. Plank blends a strong technology transformation and operational background with deep financial acumen and strategic vision to drive significant shareholder value.

Mr. Plank is currently providing independent advisory and consulting services to clients in the technology and the restaurant industries.  Mr. Plank most recently served as Taco Bell’s Global Chief Technology Officer where he led the creation of a $4B+ annual and growing omni-channel, digital ecosystem in a high-transaction environment while enabling the organizational shift from a primarily mass-media strategy to a personalized, modern approach to marketing. 

Prior to Taco Bell, Mr. Plank spent nearly 20 years in the life sciences industry, enabling high-growth R&D and Commercial capabilities in a regulated environment.  He has played a lead technology role in multiple acquisitions supporting expansion into new therapeutic areas while achieving targeted rationalization synergies.   Demonstrating broad leadership capabilities, Mr. Plank also spent multiple years outside of technology, leading Regulatory and Safety Operations, before returning to his passion of driving business results through technology.

Mr. Plank holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Informational Sciences from Temple University.

  He currently lives in Tustin, California and enjoys spending time reading, exercising, and traveling.
